Cultural and linguistic diversity
Romania's second workshop was on cultural and linguistic diversity.
We started to talk about European culture and linguistic diversity. We also talked about the concept of unity in diversity and what does it mean in every country.
After this we presented some theory about the concept of Europeanization. We explained to the participants what it means, and we asked them what does it mean for them. After this we started a debate upon Europeanization versus Americanization. This went very well because the participants were highly interested in this subject and we strongly debriefed upon their feeling and knowledge. We started to talk about our common culture, sovereignty, legitimacy and even about globalization.
Our conclusion was that even though we have a strong culture and feeling of being European we must work and promote our values worldwide.
